My first week I had my outdoor vehicle business card holder (Grab-A-Card) on my service vehicle I made 3,000.

How did it happen?

I owned a small residential / commercial Glass Tinting Company. Like all Service Vehicles I had my signs with all my info, business name & phone number professionally made and put on my van. I put ads in the local reporter paper, I bought a half page ad in the phone book, At 500.00 bucks a month (Keep in mind this was several years back before internet was so big). And Of course I had my Business Cards made and put a stack in the glove box.

So now I was ready to get jobs and get to work. I just had to hope that when they open the phone book and look for glass tinters that they would call me & not my competitors. Now it’s the same only on line.

One day I was standing in line at a coffee shop, I could see my service vehicle through the front window and I noticed not one, not two but 3 people standing at my van like they were waiting for something.  I got my coffee & headed out the door towards my van, as I approached, one of them said, is this your van? I said, yes, is something wrong, they said, we wanted to get a business card from you. 

A month later I was tinting some windows at a school on the weekend. I had parked my service Vehicle right outside the door. The windows that were being tinted were 30 feet up, so I had a long climb up & down the ladder with all my tools and material. As I climb up for the 20th time and was just about to get started on another window, I hear someone yell from the door way, Hey Gotta card?  

That was it! 

Although I was thrilled to be handing out my business cards, I thought there has to be an easier way. Of course I stopped what I was doing and climb down and with a smile on my face, went in my glove box and handed him a Business Card.
